#1 - Law of Intention

Intention is the photograph I saved as my phone lock screen to help visualize my move to Ōtautahi. Although I was planning to live closer to town, I soon found myself offered a job at the restaurant on the end of this wharf in Akaroa.

#2 - Law of Feelings
Feelings was one of the first photographs I took when I first began to delve into landscape and nature photography. After nearly a decade of only photographing live music I was absolutely enamoured with this newfound craft.

#3 - Law of Action
Action was photographed from the edge of Lake Wānaka. It is a beautiful town, but considering I can not drive, and thus have to rely on my own feet - it was a town that I found incredibly hard to build a life in. Yet still, I would walk on down to the lake most nights to enjoy the sunset behind the mountains.

#4 - Law of Faith
Faith is crafted using a collage of photos taken of thick snow clouds in Tititea (Mt Aspiring). As I took these photos, I had no idea if I would be able to build something reasonable from them - yet here we are.

These photographs are crafted using the Silver Halide printing method. It uses light-sensitive paper, and silver based chemistry to infuse the image onto paper. This results in a beautiful archival print with a magnificent greyscale range, sharp blacks, and brilliant whites.

They are printed locally by Queensberry in Waitakere, Tāmaki Makaurau.
